Ukrainian city boy Atem (eight) feels uprooted when his parents move to an old house in a village in the Carpathian mountains. He eagerly awaits his presents on the eve of St. Nicholas Day, but the apparent Santaclaus turns out a disguised robber. Artem and his young friends treat him to surprises, dead-set on saving the feast and the real Santa.
